Egypt's FIHC tenders to buy 30,000 T edible oil

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's state-owned Food Industries Holding Company (FIHC) said on Sunday it was tendering to buy 30,000 tonnes of edible oil for shipment during the second half of July.

FIHC is looking to buy 15,000 tonnes of sunflower oil and 15,000 tonnes of soyoil, said an FIHC official, who asked not to be named as he was not authorised to speak to the media.

The tender is for oil of any origin and the deadline for bids is June 18, he said.

FIHC last bought oil in a tender on May 26 when it purchased 20,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $847 a tonne and 5,000 tonnes of soyoil at $850 a tonne, on a cost and freight basis.
