CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's state-owned Food Industries Holding Company (FIHC) said on Monday it was tendering to buy up to 40,000 tonnes of edible oil for shipment during the first half of July. FIHC is looking to buy 20,000 tonnes of soyoil and 20,000 tonnes of sunflower oil, an FIHC official told Reuters, declining to be named as he was not authorised to speak to the media. The tender is for oil of any origin and the deadline for bids is May 26, he said. FIHC last bought oil in a tender on May 12, when it purchased 3,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $862 a tonne on a cost and freight basis. |
